Abstract:
The Technology Transfer Program at Arizona State University initiated an electronic bulletin board in 1987 as part of its program of information services for local transportation agencies. The R3T-ASU bulletin board was set up to distribute public domain software to local agencies; allow communication among users and Technology Transfer staff; and provide timely information on meetings, training sessions and other items of interest to users. In its first four months of operation, R3T-ASU succeeded in building a community of users in local transportation agencies and more than doubled the number of files available for transfer.
