Abstract:

Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) is under an interagency agreement with the Federal Highway Administration, Department of Transportation, to prepare the necessary historical highway information needed for the publication of 'Highway Statistics Summary of 1985'. In the meantime, ORNL is making the information available to microcomputers electronically. This paper describes the system design, configuration, data structure, as well as the problems encountered and their solutions for the microcomputer version of the historical highway statistics information system.
