Abstract:

The Clackamas County Department of Transportation and Development is responsible for maintaining 1,514 miles of roadway. Clackamas County, Oregon is part of the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area. This paper describes a Managed Maintenance Program and a Pavement Management System Index (PMSI) which Clackamas County, Oregon utilizes. The purpose of the PMSI is to evaluate alternative roadway improvement and revenue scenarios in order to establish roadway maintenance priorities.
