by Robert F. Riggio, Texas Water Commission, Austin, TX, USA,

Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Abstract:

The Colorado River Municipal Water District has sponsored a summertime West Texas cloud-seeding program to increase rainfall in each year since 1970. Because of the program's longevity, it was evaluated utilizing established statistical techniques. Based on regression analysis, results suggest that the District realized an increase in seasonal rain during the normal and wet seasons. Rainfall increases are not suggested during dry seasons.
