Abstract:
The papers included in this book represent state-of-the-art developments in and applications of computer aided simulation of fluid-structure interaction problems in both the terrestrial and marine environments. Topics discussed include a wave force model for concrete armor units, response of concrete dam-water-foundation rock systems to earthquake ground motion, numerical simulation of the large motion response of moored and floating structures, fluid-structure-soil interaction of cylindrical liquid storage tanks, and structural data reduction for a floating breakwater prototype test program.
Subject Headings: Fluid-structure interaction | Numerical models | Ground motion | Wave forces | Storage tanks | Cylindrical tanks | Concrete structures
