Abstract:

The paper describes some procedures of design and construction of riprap type protective structures to contain ocean erosion and to provide an end product that both gives protection and is cost effective for the private property owner. The emphasis is on riprap structures on ocean shoreline where the land form is made up entirely of unconsolidated beach-sand.
