Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Coastal Zone '87

Abstract:

A laterally averaged two-dimensional computer model was developed to simulate the hydrodynamics, transport, and ecosystem dynamics of Budd Inlet, a small partially mixed estuary located in Puget Sound, Washington. The overall goal of this study was to identify the cause of the low dissolved oxygen concentrations which occur within the Inlet and to evaluate the effects of existing and proposed effluent discharge from a secondary wastewater treatment facility on the dissolved oxygen concentrations.
