Abstract:

Although risk-analysis is currently gaining acceptance in the decision process among engineers involved in public safety of water resources projects, the 'state-of-the-art' tool is still difficult to apply. This paper discusses the method of risk analysis used in the private sector as it pertains to dam safety.
