by Irving M. Fogel, Fogel & Associates Inc, New, York, NY, USA,

Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Management Lessons from Engineering Failures

Abstract:

Engineering failure often results from administrative or managerial failure. In addition to providing sound engineering or technical services, we have a responsibility to administer and manage our contracts. More disputes arise from improper management of contracts than from actual physical failure. We must learn to manage and administer as well as design.
