Abstract:

Potential changes in the Manasquan River basin hydrologic budget were assessed with the Hydrological Simulation Program in Fortran (HSPF). The HSPF results were used to assess the reliability with which historical streamflow records could be used for reservoir yield analysis. The development, calibration, verification, and application of the HSPF for this study are described herein. The paper is intended to serve as a guideline to future applications of the model.
