Abstract:

A geologically and hydrologically unique alluvial ground water basin, and the hydrologic interaction among aquifer, ground water pumping for irrigation, and the surface water storage and distribution network are described. A plan by the project sponsor to increase the amount of water available from the aquifer for irrigation and to optimize the water resources of the basin is presented.
