Abstract:

The model of runoff formation in excess of storage applied in some humid regions of China is revised in this paper, so that the model can adopt the information provided by Landsat remote sensing. Soil available storage capacity and initial moisture content in a watershed are two important parameters. The parameters of original model are determined by means of statistical and optimum seeking methods. The parameters of the revised model are determined by using the information provided by Landsat remote sensing. It bases yield calculations on reliability. The model proposed provides reliable basis for flood calculation and forecasting.
