Abstract:

This paper discusses an integrated approach to computerizing the major functions of regulatory agencies involved in water resource planning and water quality protection. This integrated approach consists of studying the individual agency responsibilities to understand how they fit together as a system. Likewise, it relies on the various software packages being able to work together as a unit. This paper is based on an actual project with the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) of the State of Louisiana.
