by William B. Kirkland, Jr., Kirkland Engineering Inc, Alameda, CA, USA,

Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Ports '86

Abstract:

This paper addresses improved efficiency in marina design engagements using low cost micro computers and low cost software. From the preparation of an offer for service, through design, permits, construction documentation and supervision, to the final billing, micro computers can be used with such efficiency that traditional methods may soon be abandoned. Micro computer applications are within the means and capabilities of even the smallest firms.
