Abstract:

An interactive microcomputer program for the analysis, design, and rating of girder bridges is presented. The program, GBRIDGE, is user-friendly, menu-driven, and developed in modular form where each program segment has the capability to be executed independently. Some of the general features of this program include the development of traditional structural analysis members from input data for fabricated component parts, the option of using either the AASHTO Working Stress or the Load Factor Design methods, and a loading generator for structural loading types.
