Abstract:

This paper describes a new educational technology that has proven extremely effective in introducing both technical and lay persons to the operational principles, management alternatives, and policy issues involved in management of an electric power system. Interactive computer simulation makes it possible to place participants in realistic management situations involving real problems, alternatives, and consequences.
