The paper discusses the Grand Coulee Project history, including a brief review of landmark dates and events. Major general features of the Project are covered, including civil works, mechanical elements, and electrical data. The history of the pumping/generating plant is discussed, including specific history of design, construction and operation of each phase to date. General features of the plant are also covered, including Civil, mechanical and electrical features and the operating plan. Specific data on the newest unit additions to the plant are also described.
