Abstract:
A portable microcomputer with appropriate software, utilities and copies of job related records can establish a field office for almost any project. Examples of applications for the onsite microcomputer include a revised engineering analysis of site conditions, analysis of equipment performance and downtime, project schedule control, inspection report writing, data collection and transmission to the home office mainframe computer, and electronic mail communications.
