Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to identify major changes in traffic volumes and generally the transportation implications caused by changing the Comprehensive Plan on a large area in the Clackamas Bluffs area from predominantly Residential to High Technology and Industrial Park. The Clackamas Bluffs area is located in Clackamas County, Oregon and is part of the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area. A change in the Comprehensive Plan land use designation from Residential to Industrial Park had two objectives: 1) To establish a better ratio between population (labor force) and jobs in Clackamas County, and 2) To establish an area attractive for high technology industries in Clackamas County.
