Abstract:

A vehicle maintenance and parts inventory control microcomputer package was developed and implemented for thirteen small transit properties as a part of the Statewide Microcomputer Implementation Project conducted by the Wisconsin DOT. Four of the properties participated in the evaluation of existing maintenance and inventory packages and the design of the software ultimately implemented. The package implemented on the Wisconsin properties was comprised of an existing commercial inventory package adapted for transit use and a maintenance module developed from scratch.
