Abstract:

This paper presents various aspects of traffic signal system management using a special purpose microcomputer based information and record keeping program. The paper presents a brief background, discusses a system management approach, provides a description of the program and discusses several applications. The presented area of signal system management considers signal hardware, signal maintenance and signal time setting record keeping and information management as a part of the overall optimization effort.
