Abstract:

This paper presents basic concepts and operations which are necessary to put into place a microcomputer based inventory system. The paper briefly examines past experience, discusses microcomputer oriented inventory system concepts, as typified by the BBB SIGN MANAGER program, discusses microcomputer system requirements and discusses planning and implementation work efforts. For purposes of perspective the program concept discussion is based on the BBB traffic SIGN MANAGER program.
