Abstract:

This paper discusses the design and implementation issues facing developers of microcomputer-based personnel management systems (PMS) at small and medium-sized transit agencies. A case study, focusing on the implementation of a specific PMS at Sun-Tran of Albuquerque, New Mexico, is presented to illustrate these issues. The design of the PMS at Sun-Tran was conducted using a classic top-down/requirements analysis approach.
