Abstract:

The design and operation of a microcomputer program to perform an economic analysis on highway improvements is described. The economic analysis methodology used in developing the program is discussed first. Next, the operation of the program is outlined and the inputs and outputs are described. A case application is then presented to demonstrate the use of the program to compare two highway alternates in the City of Lincoln, Nebraska. Finally, general comments are made on the program operation and on the future revisions to the program.
