Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: New Analysis Techniques for Structural Masonry

Abstract:

This paper studies the buckling effect of masonry walls and concrete floor slabs as a frame system. The frame is calculated according to the theory of II. order. The buckling length, the bending moments and the load capacity are determined for homogeneous materials as well as for materials without tensile strength. Simple formulas for practical use are developed.
