Abstract:

The guideway of the new transit system 'KANAZAWA SEASIDE LINE' which Yokohama City has started construction is designed as an elevated type throughout the line, and a portion of the line crosses the Hirakata bay near the terminal. Many kinds of wild bird fly to the shore of this bay, and the landscape is considered by residents along the line as one of the most beautiful landscapes in Yokohama. This paper describes the circumstances of juristic procedure for Environmental Impact Assessment Law, analysis of the current scene and examines the structure design of the guideway to be constructed in relation to the view.
