Part of: Automated People Movers: Engineering and Management in Major Activity Centers

Abstract:

An overview of operating people movers is given. For most of the three dozen current systems, institutions other than mass transit agencies have been able to tap the major benefits offered by people movers. Greater information-sharing among architecural, airport, construction, development, parking, paratransit, and mass transit communities is needed.
