Abstract:

The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is undertaking a significant effort of documenting the coastal engineering data sources either available at or published by Government agencies as well as private and non-private institutions. Information to be documented includes data on coastal geology, geomorphology, water levels, winds and storms, waves and currents, ice conditions, littoral transport, topography, hydrography, and bathymetry. The name, address, and telephone number of each source organization are given. The types, locations, and time periods of data being collected are described. The locations of repositories and the procedures for obtaining those data are also presented in the documentation.
