Abstract:

For computing steady-state, gradually-varied flows, a new algorithm is presented which allows solution of the entire channel system simultaneously, and unlike other available methods, does not require manual computations or graphical plots for the computation of these flows in parallel channels or in channel networks. Details of the algorithm are presented and a typical channel network is solved for illustration purposes.
