Abstract:

A microcomputer software package was developed which allows the user to interactively evaluate pumping tests using semilog and log-log graphic methods for time-drawdown, step-drawdown, and distance-drawdown plots. The software follows the standard methods used in pumping test evaluations, and is compatible with course work for an undergraduate class in groundwater hydrology. This paper outlines the procedures and uses of the software. The software package was developed in BASIC for the IBM-PC, Apple II series, and Apple Macintosh computers, and includes a user's manual, programmer's manual, demonstration program, and tutorial.
