Abstract:

In 1983 Owens Corning Fiberglas and Utah State University collaborated on a study of combined strain behavior of fiberglass pipe to quantify the bending strain reduction as a function of internal pressure. The study included experimental and analytical methods. This paper deals with the experimental methods and results. Recommendations are made suggesting new design criteria.
