Abstract:

Several years ago, an integrated operating process was developed in response to specific problems on the Ottawa River. The operating process involves several public-sector organizations working together to ensure maximum satisfaction for the users of the river. It includes inflow forecasting, optimization, and hydraulic simulation models. The object of this paper is to describe the strategy and its application, comment on its effectiveness and suggest improvements.
