Abstract:

Various regulation changes in the Lake Winnebago basin have been proposed regarding the protection of wetlands and assurance of adequate outflows for water quality. To implement these proposals, it became apparent that additional sampling sites, parameters and a more timely transmission system was required. Data collection systems are compared and a remote satellite based collection system was developed. Automatic data retrieval is being accomplished and future direct data input into regulation models is planned.
