Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Computer Applications in Water Resources

Abstract:

After an introduction on the scope of urban drainage and water pollution control problems static solution approaches are shortly described and their disadvantages are lined out. The potential of real time control for combined sewer systems is evaluated. State-of-the-art control hardware and software is described. The wide gap between research and applications of systems control concepts is discussed. Physical and administrative criteria are assessed. Some descriptions of actually immplemented systems illustrate the findings.
