Abstract:

The use of microcomputers is becoming more and more prevalent in both large and small design offices as their first cost continues to decrease, as their capabilities continue to increase, and as software becomes more available. One particular type of software, spreadsheets, has the potential to have a large impact on rural and urban stormwater modeling. The reasons for this are discussed and examples are used to illustrate a few of the simpler types of stormwater problems which can be modeled using spreadsheets.
