Abstract:

The uniform creep behavior of five driven piles and one slurried pile based on pile load test data are presented and analyzed. The incremental static load tests carried out by ARCO, Alaska Inc. in 1980-1982 were reported in detail by Manikian in 1983. Current analysis of the test results focuses on creep behavior and compares test results with predicted results. Using the relative creep stiffness concept, the test data are analyzed and creep parameters for each layer of the two layer soil system are determined. Observations on the creep behavior of various types of piles and on different pile installation techniques are presented.
