Abstract:

The use of onsite microcomputers to handle the project documentation tasks of labor, equipment, and material logs, correspondence, daily diaries and inspection reports will enable project managers to make better informed decisions and use more sophisticated management techniques drawing from this readily available database. This paper describes the functional and operational attributes of an effective onsite project management and documentation system and discusses its advantages over existing systems.
