Abstract:

Increased application of computer aided design and drafting encouraged the organization of the symposium from which this book was derived. The papers presented at the symposium and included in this book contain three subthemes to computer aided design and engineering: (1) current status and trends; (2) recent advances; and (3) applications. Specific topics include intelligent systems, database management, interactive color shading in CAD, relational models for computer analysis and design, and advanced graphical CAD systems for three dimensional steel frames.

Subject Headings: Computer aided design | Computer analysis | Three-dimensional models | Three-dimensional analysis | Systems management | Steel frames | Interactive systems
