Consolidation by Sand Drain in Anisotropic Ground
by Takeshi Tamura, Kyoto Univ, Dep of Civil, Engineering, Kyoto, Japan,Document Type: Proceeding Paper
Part of: Sedimentation Consolidation Models?Predictions and Validation
Abstract:
The author reduces Biot's equations of consolidation into a single governing equation with the excess pore water pressure as the only unknown function and derives the theory of an eigenvalue problem for it. The anisotropy of ground could influence the degree of consolidation under certain conditions.
