Abstract:

This short paper presents a practical approach to data analysis, with the intent of suggesting that simple statistical methods - when tailored to geotechnical problems - do in fact provide benefits. The first section following outlines a simple approach to analyzing site characterization data. Then to be specific, three examples are used to illustrate the ease of applying improved data analysis techniques.
