Computer Analysis of Settling Test Data

A method of fitting a simple approximating function to quiescent settling test data is given that can serve for either discrete or flocculant settling. The method can be used with the data as either concentrations or as fractional removals. The method is illustrated using concentration data and the results are compared with values calculated by the traditional method.
