Abstract:

As urban drainage management has moved from basic research, interest has turned to technologies suitable for the control of drainage quantity and quality. This paper summarizes, through case histories, the experience of a number of Ontario municipalities in implementing runoff controls. Inlet controls, underground storage, stormwater management ponds and research experience in runoff quality controls are presented.
