Abstract:
The 63 pages included in these proceedings came from 12 different countries and deal with the pertinent advances in grouting materials and technology that have occurred throughout the world over the past two decades. Materials for cement and mortar grouts, and chemical grout materials are discussed. Dam grouting technology and its applications are discussed. Along with design and control for dam grouting. Chemical grouting technology and applications, and behavior of chemically grouted soil are also covered. Papers are presented on grouting for tunnels, shafts, and mines. Alternative grouting technologies covered include the utilization of super-high pressure liquid jets, flash-setting grout, cement grouts in offshore steel structures, and pressure injection grouting of landfills. Applications of grouting technology and testing and control for grouting are also covered. Many of the papers are illustrated. These papers were presented at the Conference on Grouting in Geotechnical Engineering, sponsored by the Geotechnical Engineering Division of the American Society of Civil Engineers in cooperation with the ASCE/AIME Underground Technology Council.
