The complete formulation and solution of a boundary value problem, referred to as a frictionless loading case, are presented. An analytical solution to the problem of adhesive parabolic loading of a cross-anisotropic halfspace is outlined. The effect of soil anistropy on vertical and radial stresses and displacements under both frictionless and adhesive loading conditions are shown.
