In recent investigations of free vibration of cable systems, use has been made of methods that are time consuming for simple configurations. The most widely used test of these methods is the taut string for which classical solutions exist. A quick yet accurate method is needed for predicting the free vibration characteristics of relatively simple cable net systems. The method presented in this paper results in a polynomial form which eigenvalues calculated.
