This note presents an elementary approach for the determination of influence line ordinated for support moments of continuous beams having a variable moment of inertia and supported by springs with unequal spring constants. Influence line ordinates for beams having up to four spans can be hand calculated. The procedure requires the inversion of a matrix of order equal to the number of interior supports.
