Abstract:

In this note, the large deflection behavior of a rectangular orthotropic plate under arbitrarily transverse loading is investigated for elastic restrained edges. A solution is formulated in the form of a double series consisting of appropriate beam eigenfunctions. Numerical results are presented for uniform and triangular loads and various edge conditions.
