Abstract:
The importance of studying the behavior of structural components under low-cycle fatigue conditions, as an extension of simple plastic theory, has been described by the writers in earlier publications. An analytical technique has been developed to predict the performance of simple and indeterminate structural components under reversed cyclic deflection. The technique has been extended herein to the study of miniature I-beams subjected to completely reversed cyclic deflections.
