In the plastic method of structural analysis, three basic theorems concerning incremental collapse of frames exist. These theorems, usually called the static, kinematic, and uniqueness theorems of incremental collapse, are proved for what is known as a variable repeated loading. It is shown herein that the incremental collapse theorems can be extended to a more general type of loading, corresponding somewhat more closely to the loading conditions on a real structure.
