The effect of uniform external pressure on the small amplitude vibration frequencies of solid isotropic elastic bodies is examined herein. Variation with pressure of small amplitude vibration frequencies of a solid sphere is presented and specific results are obtained for strain energy function similar to that used in small deformation elasticity theory.
